PPC

Be there at the moment somebody is looking for you

Paid search puts you in front of a person who is, right now, typing what you sell into Google. No waiting to earn a ranking, no hoping they scroll far enough — you are simply there, at the top, on the day you decide to be.

It is also the most measurable money in marketing: done properly you can say what a phone call cost you. The trade-off is that it is rented — the enquiries arrive while the budget runs and stop when it does not — which is worth knowing going in, and is why the work below is about making each click count rather than buying more of them.

Where the money usually leaks

  • Paying for the wrong searches. Left to its own devices Google will happily show your ad to someone researching how to do the job themselves. Negative keywords are unglamorous and they are most of the saving.
  • Sending every click to the homepage. If the ad promises one thing and the page opens on everything you do, you have paid for a visitor and then asked them to go hunting.
  • Not knowing which clicks became enquiries. Without conversion tracking you can see spend and clicks but not results, so every decision after that is a guess. We set this up before the first ad runs — including calls, not just form fills, because in most trades the phone is how people actually get in touch.
  • Leaving it alone. Competitors change their bids, costs drift, and a campaign that worked in spring quietly stops paying for itself. The management is the product.

Two budgets, and only one of them is on this page

There is the management fee — the plans below — and there is the ad spend, which Google, Microsoft or Meta bill directly to your own account and card. We never take a margin on your ad spend, and the account stays in your name: if you ever leave, you keep the campaign history rather than starting again. The plans are tiered by how much you spend on ads each month, because a larger account genuinely takes more managing.

Straight answers before you start

A small budget in an expensive market buys very few clicks. Some search terms cost a great deal per click, and spreading a modest budget thinly across all of them achieves nothing. It is usually better to own one narrow, high-intent search than to be barely present across twenty.

If your website cannot convert, ads will not fix it. Paid traffic magnifies whatever your site already does. Sending more people to a page that does not persuade anybody just costs more.

Ads and SEO answer different questions. Ads for what you need now, search for what you want in a year. Most businesses should do one properly rather than both badly, and we will tell you which one that is.

The plans below are a starting point rather than a fixed menu. Tell us what you sell, where, and roughly what you can spend, and we will come back with a recommendation and an exact price.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell us what needs doing and how much of it there is. We will tell you honestly which plan fits, including when the answer is the cheaper one.
